Dear Prospective Western Christian Family,
Thank you for your interest in Western Christian School. We understand that selecting the right school for your child is an extremely important decision, and we are thrilled that you are considering our community!
Established in 1945 with a mission to teach students to seek God’s truth and to equip them with the tools for a lifetime of learning, Western has grown to a community of 375+ students from PreK thru 12th Grade.
We are proud to offer academic excellence through a biblical worldview. Parents looking for a place where their children will be loved and challenged, and where godly character development is a priority will find that at Western Christian School. Western is not only an education, it’s an experience; one that will last a lifetime.
While you can find plenty of additional information about our school on our website about what we offer, and what we’re about, nothing can compare to experiencing our community for yourself. We would love to have you visit our campus and experience what makes Western Christian School one of the best private schools in the Willamette Valley. We look forward to meeting you and helping you make the best decision for your family.
Blessings,
Naomi Quesada
Admissions SpecialistFrequently Asked Questions
What does the Admissions Process look like?
The first step in the Admissions Process is setting up a tour to visit campus. An online application for each new student needs to be completed by a parent. Once the application has been submitted and all supporting documents have been received, the admissions committee will school will reach out one of three ways: a letter of acceptance, a letter of acceptance noting that the student has been placed on our waiting list, or a piece of correspondence indicating that more information is needed before a decision can be made. The final step is an invitation to complete an online enrollment packet that consists of parent approvals and financial commitments. Families that would like to pursue financial assistance, must do so after the student has been accepted by completing our Scholarship Forms online.
How long does the Admissions Process take?
Typically, the admissions process takes from one to two weeks, from the time the application is submitted until final acceptance. Once the application is submitted, the school will request documentation and recommendations directly from the sources listed on the application. Any testing, as well as shadow day (6th-12th grades), if desired, will be set up at that time. Once all required information has been received and reviewed, the admissions decision will be communicated. An application isn’t considered for enrollment until all supplementary documentation has been received. Our admissions team is happy to answer any further questions that may arise throughout the application process.
