The HOOP-A-THON is WCS’s primary yearly student fundraiser, with participation from all students K-12. Each student will have five minutes to make as many free throws as possible from a designated shooting distance based on grade level. Each grade level will have volunteers rebounding basketballs.
Additionally, basket height and distance are adjusted depending on grade. The total number of baskets will be counted and recorded by parent volunteers.

For our Hoop-A-Thon this year, we’re using an awesome web-based fundraising system that makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends and for them to make secure credit card donations online.
It’s fun, easy and people who use it typically raise twice as much as those who don’t!

- On the home screen, enter your event code: “wcs”to locate our event
- Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
- Enter parent name and email address, then click “Submit”
- Follow the instructions on-screen to register Shooter(s) and add family and friends

Is there a non-electronic way to donte?
Yes! If you would like to collect cash or check donations in person you may do so using the pledge form. You must collect the donor’s information so that we can send them a tax receipt.
Cash and check donations can be turned in to the business office.
Want your pledge amount to go farther?
WCS is a verified 501c3 non-profit, and you may be able to help your student raise additional funds for the Hoop-a-Thon by reaching out to your employer. Ask your Human Resources department if they match charitable contributions made by employees to non-profit organizations. What a great way to double your donation!

Can I volunteer?
For a successful and fun event, we depend on all the volunteer support we can get for the day of Hoop-a-Thon and encourage every parent who is able to jump in and join us! A current volunteer background check will need to be completed and on file in the office for the 24-25 school before the event.
